I graduated as the valedictorian of my high school in South San Francisco, California and entered UC Berkeley with Honors at Entrance. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Zoology and enrolled into the dental program at UC Medical Center School of Dentistry in San Francisco, from which I graduated in 1971 in the top 10% of my class. I moved down to Orange Country, lured by the warm climate, a growing population and the challenge of a new environment. The fact that the weather was so conducive to playing tennis made the decision even more inviting. Besides a great love for tennis, I have recently been lured into the enticing and challenging game of golf.

I chose the field of general dentistry because I thoroughly enjoyed all of the phases of dentistry. Not only did I pursue the clinical aspects of dentistry with great vigor, but I also had an insatiable appetite for the educational courses as well. It did not take long before I enrolled in post-graduate programs which expanded my clinical skills in orthodontics and TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders. Both areas of expertise have been well received and greatly needed by my patients. My practice encompasses all aspects of cosmetic dentistry including full mouth rehabilitation. After nearly 40 years of orthodontics, we are now proud to offer “FASTBRACES® ,” a new highly efficient and fast orthodontic technique. Treatment is often completed in less than one half the time compared to conventional braces! I am also certified in the Pinhole Surgical Technique (PST) which corrects gum recession without incisions, sutures, or grafts! There is no longer a need to involve the palate as is often the case with the old technique.

I am an active member of the American Dental Association (Life Member), the California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society. I am certified in the Pinhole Surgical Technique, FASTBRACES®, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, and Laser Dentistry. I am proud to say that I offer my patients uncompromised state-of-the-art dentistry, which is founded in both my thirst of knowledge and countless hours of continuing education.
